Job Vacancies - Site Supervisors

Kedella Homes is seeking a Site Supervisor with experience in building construction to oversee our construction projects. We are looking for an individual who has strong leadership skills with excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude. The ability to multi-task, while maintaining attention to detail that ensures accurate results, is essential in this position. The ideal candidate for this job is a proven leader, resourceful, a good problem solver and organized.

Site Supervisor’s responsibilities include:

  • Read/comprehend construction drawings, county permit plans
  • Closely evaluate all of plans, specifications, material, and safety requirements for the project.
  • Complete daily reports
  • Attend project meetings
  • Submission and approval of change orders
  • Manage project schedule
  • Manage subcontractors
  • Coordinate all subcontractor activities to be performed onsite and ensure subcontractors maintain clean work environments to customer’s satisfaction.
  • Manage work crews/Effectively manage people involved in projects
  • Maintain good working relationship with customer
  • Attend QC meetings including preparatory meetings involving critical work activities.
  • Observe and inspect construction progress to ensure adherence to specifications and contact documents.
  • Take necessary action to assure contractor's quality control program is provided in accordance with the contract requirements and that three phases of quality control are being utilized
  • Based on technical knowledge and coordination with designer and contractor, propose to the Contracting Officer technical solutions to design issues/unforeseen conditions encountered during construction.
  • Provide project status updates to senior personnel within the field office or Supported Command
  • Manage and evaluate construction contractor performance
  • Organize proper unloading and site logistics
  • Train new employees on job duties and cross training of current staff.
  • Integrate and coordinate projects with field personnel
  • Proper preparation of the startup of the installation of the equipment
  • Evaluate, validate, and manage project change requests
  • Work proactively with minimal supervision to resolve scheduling issues.
  • Monitor scope creep and scope changes.
  • Assist Site Manager in the supervision of activities at site location.
  • Enforce Company Safety, Environmental, and Quality Standards.
  • Provide official weekly project status reports
  • Prepare and distribute project communication with customers, management, integrated project teams, and stakeholders
  • Prepare and monitor project schedules and budgets; provide technical guidance and assistance on contracting and construction-related issues; direct design efforts; recommend construction documents for approval; and provide oversight of any follow-on maintenance programs
  • Optimize performance, cost, and schedule by ensuring project objectives are achieved on schedule and at the lowest cost compatible with user requirements
  • Ensure integration of all systems, including information technology, telephone, security, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing
  • Organize all site related activities until handover to customer
  • Prepare Contractor Performance Report (CPR) upon contract closeout

Preferred:

  • At least Three-years of supervisory experience in a related construction industry

Desired Candidate Profile - Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
  • NCT Civil Engineering, plus 2 years relevant experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Must be highly articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and strong decision-making abilities.
  • Must have your own tools, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation
  • Must have strong cost management, scheduling, and project planning and estimating skills.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations, to understand contract plans and specifications, organize information, and effectively utilize PC and applicable software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Planning and Organising
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
  • Excellent customer service, professional attitude and appearance are a must.
  • Ability to work overtime & meet deadlines.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

Will be required to work indoors and outdoors. Required to wear safety gear, such as hardhats and safety glasses. May be exposed to noise levels that are distracting and uncomfortable, hazardous equipment, contaminants
