Job Vacancies - junior Civil Engineers

The position shall be responsible for supervising the work of Civil & Structure discipline at project sites. The incumbent shall be responsible for the efficient and effective coordination of site supervision and other teams involved for construction activities relating to Civil & Structural work, for dealing with the contractors, for finalising and authorising the requirements of materials as per suitable norms, and for meticulous reporting to the Management.

junior Civil Engineer’s responsibilities include:

  • Candidate should be well-versed in drawing interpretations & in guiding technicians to work as per Drawings.
  • Candidate should be competent in interpretation of Technical Specifications & ensuring work at site as per approved Technical specifications.
  • Candidate should be aware about best/long standing market products available for civil construction.
  • Candidate should be able to prepare item wise BOQ of civil work & certifying Contractors Bill accordingly.
  • Candidates should be well informed about Local Government Rules and Regulations for civil works & should implement those regulations at site in time.
  • Candidate should have the basic knowledge of AUTOCAD and shall supervise the projects from designing stage to the execution stage.
  • Ensure that hazards are identified, risks assessed, control measures planned and implemented in consultation with relevant employees.
  • Regularly conduct Health & Safety Executive (HSE) meetings, toolbox talks, and daily jobsite walks.

Preferred:

  • If candidates have a pleasing personality with excellent communication and negotiation skills. A strong sense of analytical ability, good energy and enthusiasm with patience and dedication.

Desired Candidate Profile - Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
  • Candidate should have minimum 2 years experience in Civil Construction.
  • Membership of recognized professional institutions (IESL or Other)
  • Should be an engineer
  • Bachelor or master degree in Engineering field from a recognized University (B.Sc. Engineering)
  • Working knowledge of plans, prints, specifications and schematics associated with trade
  • Excellent command English both written and spoken
  • The ability to manage a heavy workload, with a close attention to detail
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills
