MEP Design Engineers - Job Vacancies

Kedella is inviting applications for a talented & experienced full time MEP Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) to join our highly collaborative and motivated construction team at head office in Kandy.

MEP Design Engineer’s responsibilities include:

• Candidate should have minimum 5 years experience in MEP in Building Construction especially in Plumbing, Fire fighting & HVAC works etc.
• Candidate should be well-versed in drawing interpretations & in guiding plumbers/technicians to work as per Drawings.
• Candidate should be competent in interpretation of Technical Specifications & ensuring work at site as per approved Technical specifications.
• Candidate should be aware about best/long standing market products available for plumbing/fire fighting/HVAC works.
• Candidate should be able to prepare item wise BOQ of MEP work & certifying Contractors Bill accordingly.
• Candidates should be well informed about Local Government Rules and Regulations for MEP works & should implement those regulations at site in time.
• Facilitate problem solving, as may arise, between MEP Subcontractors during construction.
• Validate design issues related to MEP and suggest alternative solutions.
• Assist in the scope review, budgeting and justification of MEP change work order.
• Coordination and administration of MEP related materials, systems and shop drawings submittals.
• Ensure that MEP Subcontractors adheres to Project safety regulations.
• Assist in the testing and commissioning of MEP equipment.
