  • Our expanding architectural team is looking for candidates that can lead projects in developing designs and project development as well as provide hands-on participation.

    Job Purpose:

    The ideal candidate for this position will manage all phases of architectural projects with demonstrated expertise on projects of various scale and complexity. Joining our team as a Project Manager / Architect means being an innovative problem solver with the ability to work both independently and as a team player, gracefully handle changing directives, while completing tasks accurately and quickly.

    The Architect’s responsibilities include:

    • Provide architectural design leadership for varied projects and client base. Implement the development of preliminary presentations and construction documentation.
    • Execute the details of design, coordinate project teams and resolve complex issues
    • Provides architectural drafting including details, plans, sections and elevations in accordance with firm standards and guidelines
    • Coordinate design issues with the in-house engineering team.
    • Ability to provide leadership with clients and effectively represent the firm
    • Oversee project teams
    • Work with clients, contractors and local officials under the direction of the project architect to coordinate construction issues.
    • Research building materials and coordinate into project specifications.
    • Defines scope of project, with full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating project assignments.
    • You must have a pride of accountability of your work, a strong awareness to project schedules and budgets, an internal drive for accomplishment, and a critical eye for detail.
    • Mentor junior designers in computer aided drawing, code research, product research, and construction document creation, drawing and detailing.
    • Selects problems for investigation, developing novel approaches and solutions to architectural problems in consultation with the director of Architecture.
    • Conducts quality control checks, reviewing calculations, designs, specifications and construction documents for accuracy and completeness, and performing on-site inspections of projects under construction to ensure aesthetic value and quality construction.
    • Recognizes, analyzes, and makes timely, critical, and cost-effective decisions
    • Plans and organizes the work of junior architects and technicians.
    • Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

    Desired Candidate Profile - Qualifications

    We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
    • Minimum 3+ years of experience
    • Knowledge and understanding of applicable building codes.
    • Membership of recognized professional institutions (SLIA)
    • Bachelor's degree in Architecture; Master degree in Architecture (Arch. / M.Arch degree) or graduate level technical coursework preferred.(Internship experience acceptable)
    • Bachelor or master degree in architecture field from a recognized University (B.Arch)
    • Excellent command English both written and spoken
    • Must have strong knowledge of assembling contract documents.
    • Must be proficient in Revit, Photoshop and Power Point.
    • Must have strong knowledge and experience with Sketch-up and other 3-D software experience a plus
    • The ability to manage a heavy workload, with a close attention to detail
    • Maintains a professional and productive relationship with clients and co-workers.
    • Registered as an Architect
